Sharon Ferencze Hi! My name is Sharon Ferencze, I live in beautiful Hunterdon County NJ. I have been very blessed to have raised and home-schooled my four daughters here where we are surrounded by so much wildlife and nature for them to explore and experience the wonders of God’s amazing creation. I am anxious to share my love for God and some of the lessons of life I’ve learned along the way with the young ladies attending camp. I feel very honored to have the opportunity to do be a part of the FAR team!
Simon and Teresa Harris I am a happily married wife of 22 years, busy with homeschooling my two youngest children. I live in Mississippi. I like it here because the brethren are like a family! I like to spend my free time reading, cooking, sewing, knitting, reading some
more!! I’m anxious to talk to campers about encouraging young hearts to know the Lord.
(From Simon) I am the husband of Teresa Harris and the father of four, 2 boys and 2 girls. My oldest son just got married last July. Our daughter, Kelsey, was sixteen when she passed from this life in 2009. Our two youngest children are still at home where they are being homeschooled by their mom. I have been preaching the gospel for sixteen years, working in Indiana, Arkansas, and presently in Columbus, Mississippi. I like living in the south because the people are so nice. Even when they disagree with you, they are willing to talk and listen. My favorite Bible passage is Galatians 2:20 because in it Paul describes the essence of discipleship and defines the goal I have set for my own life, to live a life of faith dedicated to the Lord Jesus Christ who loved me and gave Himself for me. I’m really excited about being at FAR Camp because after being blessed with the wonderful experience of teaching at SOL Camp, I can only imagine how encouraging it will be to teach and learn from young ladies who’s value truly is Far Above Rubies. Besides, everybody knows that girls are smarter than boys!
Sandy Hayes I’m Sandy, the grandmother of 10, answering as SanGran. I enjoy living near Boston, Massachusetts because of the fine people, wonderful seasons, fantastic history, and fun things to do. A favorite Bible verse is Heb 3:13, “But encourage one another day after day …..”FAR Camp will be the place to be this summer as we play,
work, encourage, and learn from God’s word together. Please come and join us!
Bertina Smelser I’m a homeschooling mother of six and one granddaughter. One daughter is married, and two are college aged. At home we have one high schooler, one middle schooler and one elementary schooler. So, no matter what is planned, I have someone in that age bracket! I like it that way.
I live in Gettysburg, PA. I like it here because of the great group of God’s family that meets in this area. I am anxious to be at FAR camp because I love kids, camping and God’s Word! Who could ask for more? A Bible passage I love to talk about is Mt. 7:7, Seek and ye shall find. What a comforting promise! I’m anxious to talk to campers making wise choices and not being afraid to be stand out from the world.

Joe and Beth Works I’m a wife to Joe (evangelist in Fair Lawn, NJ), a mom to six children (from age 6 to age 20), a homemaker and a homeschooling parent. I live in Fair Lawn, New Jersey. I like it here because it is “where I am right now.” A dear friend once advised me, “Bloom where you’re planted!” I’m busy trying to do that in Fair Lawn! I am anxious to be at FAR camp because I love having opportunities to be with others who love the Lord and desire to know Him better! A Bible passage I love to talk about is Mark 14:8. When Jesus described the actions of a certain woman who loved Him, He said, “She has done what she could.” As each day happens, I like to focus on doing what I can with the opportunities and abilities God graciously provides. I like to spend my free time taking a walk somewhere “new” (to me) so I can see, learn, and know more about my Father.I’m anxious to talk to campers about the blessings of being in God’s family.
(From Joe) I have been involved in several camps for the last few years and am thrilled to now get the opportunity to play a small role in the FAR Camp. Beth, my wife, and I have been so blessed to be influenced by various godly people around the world. I look forward to sharing some of the things I’ve learned from God and His people. Raising 6 children, and having a great number more whom I consider my own, has given me some unique opportunities to get to know the potential of young godly souls. I hope to encourage all the campers to take advantage of that potential that is in you.
